2017 Leavers certificates are still available for collection

2018 – 2019 Key Exam Dates

2018 Leavers BTEC and A level coursework is available for collection from Monday 26th November 2018 to Thursday 31st January 2019 after which it will be destroyed.

The Year 2 A Level Mock Examinations are planned to take place from Thursday 10th January to Wednesday 16th January 2019.  Mock examinations will also be held in this same period for any student retaking GCSE English and mathematics in the summer 2019 examination season. (These dates are provisional at present and subject to change.)

The Year 1 A Level formal assessment week is planned for the week Monday 29th April to Friday 3rd May 2019

Summer 2019 examination season is from  Monday 13th May to Friday 28th June 2019 

Summer 2019 Level 3 results day is Thursday 15th August 2019

Summer 2018 GCSE/L2 Results Day is Thursday 22nd August 2019

2018 – 2019 examinations schedule information

A-Level language oral examinations 2019

 Individual student timetables will be released via email to students during the Spring term 2019.

A-Level examinations 2019

  • Monday 13th May to Friday 28th June 2019.
  • There are no examinations during the Whit half term holiday, Monday 27th May to Friday 31st May 2019.  
  • The A-Level summer 2019 examinations timetable can be downloaded here. (Changes have been made to Further Mathematics dates)

Individual Summer 2019 Student Examination Timetables will be released to students on Friday 26th April 2019.

GCSE examination schedule 2018 – 2019

Summer 2019 examinations results information

Level 3 Results day is Thursday 15th August 2019 for the following:

  • A Level
  • Level 3 BTEC
  • Level 3 ifs
  • Level 3 Extended Project
  • Certificate Sports Leadership and Higher Sports Leadership

1819 U6 students are invited to collect their results from college from tbc onwards and on the Student Portal from tbc on 15th August 2019.

1819 L6 students will be able to view their results on the Student Portal from tbc on 15th August 2019

L2 results day is Thursday 22nd August 2019 for the following:

  • GCSE
  • Level 2 BTEC

1819 results for the above qualifications can be collected from tbc onwards and available on the Student Portal from tbc on 22nd August 2019.

Nominating someone to collect your results slip

In the rare circumstance that a student is unable to collect their results slip in person then they are invited to nominate an individual to collect on their behalf using the Nominee Results Collection form. The nominee is asked to report to Reception first and would need to present the completed form along with their own ID to a member of the exams team. 

Summer 2019 examinations post results information 

AS/A2 and A-Level post results services for May/June 2019 examination results

Post Results services will be available for a time limited period from results day onwards. The examinations team process the post results applications on the day of receipt, subject to the submission of a fully completed and signed application form and payment is made in person to the Student Finance office (B001). Payment options are cash, cheques made payable to The Blackpool Sixth Form College and card payments. 

GCE Enquiries about results

  • GCE priority review of marking: This is an urgent application for a review of marking. This service should be used if you have a university place which depends on the result in question. The prices vary between awarding bodies and the option of including a copy of the the script, ranging from £tbc.     Please be aware your mark could go up or down as a result of the review.   Deadline 15:00 Thursday 22nd August 2019 (provisional)
  • GCE standard service review of marking: This is an application for a review of marking. The prices vary between awarding bodies and the option of including a copy of the the script, ranging from £tbc.  Please be aware that your mark could go up or down as a result of the review.    Deadline 15:00 Thursday 19th September 2019 (provisional)
  • GCE clerical re-check: A re-check of all clerical procedures. This service does not re-mark a script, but checks all of the administration processes relating to the script. The prices vary between awarding bodies ranging from £tbc Deadline 15:00 Thursday 19th September 2019 (provisional)

GCE access to scripts

  • GCE priority service photocopy scripts: A priority service to receive a copy of your script and accompanied by a mark sheet to decide whether it is appropriate to apply for a re-mark of your examination script. The prices vary between awarding bodies ranging from £tbc     Deadline 15:00 Thursday 22nd August 2019 (provisional)
  • GCE original scripts: Access to original script. The prices vary between awarding bodies ranging from £tbc  Please be aware that if you request your original script you can not subsequently request a review of marking.    Deadline 15:00 Thursday 26th September 2019 (provisional)

Access to scripts

  • GCSE/BTEC L2 (Pearson only) photocopy scripts : Pearson offer a free access to scripts service and more information can be obtained from the exams office from Thursday 22nd August 2019 (provisional)
  • GCSE Original Scripts (AQA only): Access to original script. Please be aware that if you request your original script you can not subsequently request a review of marking. The price is £tbc      Deadline 15:00 Thursday 26th September 2019 (provisional)

Examination office opening hours (term and holiday time) – We are open Monday to Friday 09:00am – 16:00pm. *The office is unavailable during the Christmas break and bank holidays. To see all the academic dates, please click here.
