Blackpool Sixth does Great British Bake Off
Blackpool Sixth does Great British Bake Off Blackpool Sixth is delighted to announce that Great British Bake Off 2017 finalist, Kate Lyon, will be the celebrity judge for a charity baking extravaganza to be held at the college on Monday 21st May, 7 pm – 8pm. The event is being held to raise money for Trinity Hospice and will include a talk from Kate about her GBBO experiences, live music and a raffle.
Amateur bakers around the Fylde Coast are gearing up for the competition by preparing their creations to be judged in one of four categories:
- Blackpool Sixth staff – Showstopper historical-themed decorated sponge cake
- Blackpool Sixth students – decorated muffins
- School students – decorated cupcakes
- Open entry (general public) – decorated sponge cake
There is still time for keen bakers to enter the competition!

Cakes need to be brought to Blackpool Sixth’s reception between 8 am and 4 pm on Monday 21st May.
