How far can a degree take you?
Geographers were mapping out their careers when a university ambassador came to visit the sixth form.
James Johnston, 21, is in the third year of his Geography degree at Lancaster University. He spoke to the students about the different modules on offer and how a degree in the subject can help further career ambitions.
James also chatted to the students about university life and how geography offers a wide range of potential job paths going forward.
Matthew Morris, geography teacher, said: “Geography offers so many career options and gives students such a broad skills base. There are careers in anything from town planning to the environment, ecology and land management.
“Geographers are rarely unemployed!”
Student Eve Downey, said: “It was a great talk and I really liked it, very informative.”
