Interactive revision session creates a buzz for business students
Business students have been practising their exam skills in an interactive workshop designed to boost their grades this summer.
Tutor Daniel Reeds organised the event, with 90 A Level business students taking part in four, 45 minute sessions looking at exam technique topics such as human resources, marketing and production.
“With the exams fast approaching, my main aim is to equip all students with the tools that are needed to achieve the highest possible grade they can,” said Daniel.
“As an examiner, I understand the components that make up a great answer and I hope by delivering this workshop in a fun and interactive way, it can help push students on to unlock their potential and build on their current ability to gain the grades need to move onto the next stage of their life, whether that is university, apprenticeships or full time work.”
Daniel has been working with national company Tutor2u to deliver exam skilled workshops to schools and colleges across the North West and the Midlands. He then ran the workshop for his own students at Blackpool Sixth.
“It’s been a great opportunity to work with students on building their confidence and to find out good practice across the region,”said Daniel.
Student Harvey Marshall, 18, said: “The revision session allowed me to gain a better understanding on the key concepts required to achieve maximum marks, the interactive workshop was extremely beneficial especially in the development and structure of answers.”
It was very helpful, especially going over calculations,” said Shamina Hankinson, 18.
