Job skills workshop for maths students
Empoloyability skills were top of the agenda for students when Spar manager Chris Chadford delivered a workshop on on how to improve your chances in the workplace.
The workshop was part of the as part of the Working Options in Education initiative, which delivers its employability and life skills programme to colleges and schools. Lower sixth A Level maths students took part in the sessions.
Chris Chadford, training manager for Spar, said: “I was thrilled to present to students at Blackpool Sixth Form College where I was able to give the students some great advice and guidance which will support them both in their studies and in their future careers.
“Spar is committed to working within our local communities, providing our younger generation with valuable life skills for their future.”
Sian Roberts, careers advisor in the college’s Futures team, said: “It is really useful to get first hand experience from industry to show students how their studies can transfer into the workplace and how to gain valuable insights into the world of work.”
