Love Island star on the pressures of social media
Kendall Rae-Knight, star of 2018’s Love Island and a former Miss England finalist, is coming to Blackpool Sixth to talk to students about navigating social media pressures.
She has been invited to the college by members of the debating society and will discuss how social media can impact young people.
Kendall, 26, was the first contestant to leave last year’s Love Island and has hit the headlines recently over her decision to undergo a rhinoplasty (nose job) late last year. She was targeted by trolls who criticised her decision to opt for surgery.
Writing on her Instagram page, Kendall said: “This is not a decision I made lightly or quickly and want to stress I am not trying to glamourise cosmetic surgery as I have never had any form of surgery before!!!
“I just wanted to share this as I’m not hiding the fact I’ve had it done as I’m a very open and honest person.”
Kendall will be discussing the issues surrounding social media and its positives and negatives with students on February 13th. This will be followed by a discussion about social media, hosted by the college’s debating society.
