Rowing for Red Nose Day

Rowing for Red Nose Day

Members of Blackpool Sixth’s pastoral team have raised £350 in aid of Comic Relief with a rowing challenge.

The 11 pastoral mentors rowed a total of 83,700 metres, the equivalent from Dover to Calais and back.

“Anybody that has ever been on a rowing machine before would know how difficult it is, and achieving not only our target of getting to France but coming back as well was awesome, the team spirit displayed was immense” said mentor Steve Hayes-Brown.

Hannah Goodrick added: “It was nice to see how many students came down to support such a worthy cause and watch us all suffer in the name of charity!”
