Small change makes a big difference
Homeless charity Streetlife has had a funding boost from staff and students’ small change at Blackpool Sixth. The college has raised an impressive £300 through loose change pots at food outlets across the campus.
Sue Flynn, catering manager, said: “Streetlife asked us to purchase socks, gloves and blankets with some of the money and we donated the remaining cash.
“We’ve raised some of the money from a raffle of a hamper kindly donated by Taylor Shaw catering and it was lovely to raise the funds for Streetlife, especially at this colder time of year.”
The small change pots have meant £600 has been raised since last April for Streetlife, Highfurlong School and Trinity Hospice.
